If you chose “A” I’ll come back to you in a minute.

If you chose “B”..Bully for you because that’s all it takes to head out and look for Forrest’s hidden treasure

Get in the middle of a lovely place where the nine clues in the poem lead you and enjoy yourself while you search for 22lbs of gold and jewels inside a 20lb bronze chest…now that’s entertainment!!!

Now…you who are drooling over Photo “A”…All you have to do is head out on “B” for awhile…find the treasure and enjoy the rest of your winters napping away on the tropical beach of your choice because you’ll be RICH enough to retire and spend winters exactly where you want…

oh…and nobody likes to be miserly toward their friends…

Your friend, dal…

  1. I’m thinking I’m not strong enough to lift the treasure even if I found it. I used to carry 50lb of chocolate when I was young(I didn’t have a sweet tooth, but was a chocolatier). I could barely do that. I’m a weakling…Oh wait…I’m still young..and will be the rest of my life 🙂

  2. Who’s that guy in the stream? Friend of yours?? lol.. You’re right about the choices. I fear that if I find the treasure, that the govt would take it from me. That may be a bit of paranoia, but I’ve ran across some articles to the effect. Not that I’m against paying taxes, I pay my share. It’s the gold coins, etc.. that I think the govt would take. I live in Florida, so spending winters on the beach really appeals to me. I wrote to Forrest once & he said if you find it, make sure that you “buy American”.

How would one go about cashing in such a treasure?? Auctions? Dealers?? etc.. And, btw, I’m training my blue eyed dog to sniff out & find treasure. lol.. She loves it. She loves going exploring. lol.. 🙂

  3. Hi Dal, lol. I can make some extra cash renting her out. lol.. She wouldn’t know what to think of it!! I wonder about a 50/50 split. I had thoughts of a group of people, sitting down & working out a legal agreement to put our heads together, then all go out in a group & look for it. Kinda like a lottery pool. They all split the prize. This would be a group with agreement in writing. Or, we can just stay solo & hunt that way too. lol.. 🙂

We can use the aura camera, and my dog, and a group of people, etc.. Did you see Forrest’s blog lately? He posted a new story today. 🙂

    ttyl, and HH (happy hunting).

  4. A treasure sniffing dog? I thought Forrest put in the small print(so small you can’t see) that treasure sniffing dogs were against the treasure finding rules….Hmm. I think I have to have a windfall of another kinds to look for this windfall. We’ll probably go out once next year to look, but it gets so expensive when your halfway across the country. I really want to meet Forrest. I just think what a cool person to do something like this. I mean to give someone an adventure like this that wouldn’t have the chance otherwise. I don’t regret any of the missed findings or thoughts. It’s been so much fun to dream about what he means. I didn’t see he had a new story and I always go through his site to find Dals blog…I’ve thought about the 50/50 split, but then think you about it more than the money it is and how these things meant something to him. That’s also a big part of the issue with giving half to the government. Although, another issue I have with the goverment is being taxed twice which isn’t supposed to happen. I mean Forrest already paid tax I’m sure when he bought these things. Just all those greedy politicians always out for their own agenda get to me. Do you have some good ideas Susan?

    • Hi Stephanie, I agree about the govt & politicians. If I found it I would try & cash in some or all, and see if the items will be put in the Smithsonian like Forrest has mentioned. I could use some extra money. My paychecks are really small. I’m grateful to have a job, but it gets tiring trying to make each penny stretch. I have some ideas & I’ll get my mail tomorrow at the box. Then I’ll be able to read his book, and get more ideas.

  5. OH!! You haven’t read his book. Your totally going to fall for Forrest after reading it. It’s so beautifully written and I just love his intelligence and sense of humor. If he had a fan club, I’d totally be in it and I’ve never considered being in a fan club before LOL. I think it’s just that it’s hard to find people that think similar to yourself…or really think different than everyone else.

  6. Stephanie, lol.. Jokingly I recently told my friends that I’m suddenly interested in a 81 year old man. lol.. (not that kind of way), lol.. then I told them of the treasure. I’m a fan of his & of treasure hunting. Yes, I had gleened every bit of info I could about him & the treasure & even made my own audio books to listen over & over again as I drive my big rig down the road. I don’t get tired of listening too. And I’m going to add to my self made audio books by recording his book too. Just for personal use, and pounding it all into my head. lol..

I’m a trucker & just got home late last night. I went to the mail place & got my mail, AND his book was there. I laid down in bed & read the whole thing almost non-stop. I stopped only to let Kelly out for her walks, & get something to eat. I breezed through his book. I love it. He is so endearing to me. I feel that I picked up several more excellent clues from his book.

I’m just itching to get out there. I’m narrowing down my search area to a possible span of about 50 miles from a certain point. That’s actually a lot of miles. But I’m still pouring over research. Did you see his website lately?? They updated it & they put a audio of my podcast on there!! Yippee, I was so excited to see (& hear) it. lol..

ttyl, Trucker Sue & my treasure sniffing, blue-eyed dog, Kelly. 🙂

  7. Hi Susan, Yeah I get the crush after reading his work. You really think you know him. I went and listened to your podcast. That’s really neat. I never got into podcasts before. I’ll have to look more into them. When I was taking care of my uncle when he was at hospice, he was super into them. We bought him an iPad so he could listen to them and it was such an amazing and wonderful experience to take care of him at that time. So that was my only experience listening to them and his were about UFO’s and a little different kinda things, but I enjoy anything different. It was really great hearing your voice on there. It’s hard to know people online or get how they feel and videos and audio are so great for that. His web site looks really great. I did see the resource page. I usually go there to get here. I hope you have fun going over all your notes. I think I’m going to call it an early night. Think I’m coming down with a cold. Hugs from Illinois to Florida!! Do you ever come out this way during your drives?

    • Hi Stephanie, yes, I get to Illinois quite often. We (U.S.Xpress) have a terminal near Chicago. Hugs & sunshine from Florida to you, Illinois. 🙂 I’m finishing up my 4 day monthly home time today. It’s back to work tomorrow. It was my 48th birthday so I went to the beach (Anna Maria Island), did some metal detecting. Then next day dinner & movie w/friends. We saw “Dolphin Tale” which is a very cute & true story. My friends & I are planning a trip (3 hour drive) to see the dolphin “Winter” in the movie, down in Clearwater. Then today I got my new (used, 1972) pontoon boat from my friends. We transported it 60 miles from their house to mine. There are photos’ on my facebook of it. I like to camp, explore & treasure hunt w/my pontoon boat. My dog Kelly likes it too.

I think that’s really cool that your uncle is into podcasts. They are really neat. So many shows to choose from. Thank you for listening to mine. I need to do another one soon. I hope you will be ok with your cold. Getting to bed early & getting good rest really helps.

Take care, and ttyl, Susan & Kelly. 🙂

  8. I friended you on facebook and saw your photos. Very cool! My Mom lives in Clearwater half the year. I haven’t seen the movie yet, but want too.
I’m in northern Illinois near the Wisconsin border. So a little ways north of where you go. Fun you talk about the sunshine in Florida too. My Mom every year sends us a package of sunshine from Florida to us. It’s Kumquats with branches and leaves too, so we feel summer while getting pummeled with snow and cold. I’d love to live someone where warm from like after the holidays till beginning of June. I’m 44 by the way…so close in age. Married with two kids(12 and 16). So treasure hunting can be a little tricky when it comes to working around school time. I have a metal detector, but haven’t used it yet. Illinois is kinda funny about doing that. I’ve learned that out west is much more easy going when it comes to so many things compared to here. We can’t even dig a hole here without a permit….ok, maybe a small hole LOL.
