Copper Art…

I thought you might like to know about this—-

Dan and Frances Hedblom are searchers and also a husband and wife artistic team who work almost exclusively with copper, coaxing stunning textures and colors out of otherwise dullish plain brown sheets. The results are beautiful and appear in fine galleries across the country.

The Hedbloms work out of their studio in Minnesota. Much of their work is inspired by the dramatic north shore of Lake Superior. You can find out more about them and see stunning pieces they have created HERE.

In celebration of Forrest and The Thrill of the Chase the Hedbloms have created a limited edition piece called “Where Warm Waters Halt”.

There are only 80 of these individually hand crafted pieces. Each is 17inches tall and 8inches wide. Dan says that they wanted to capture the mountains, forests and streams of The Thrill of the Chase. In my opinion they have certainly done that. I think these are gorgeous. Each piece is signed and numbered on the back and comes with a certificate of authenticity. You can see more photos of this limited edition piece on their website HERE.

You can purchase one of these limited editions from their eBay store, which is HERE.

They are available for $100 plus $20 for shipping. Since there were only 80 made and I know they have already sold some…My guess is that they won’t have much trouble finding owners for the few remaining so if you’re looking for something beautiful, unusual and also about the Chase…you should probably order one quickly…

    • I am envious…didn’t realize I had misspelled that. Sadly it still applies though as I am unlikely to have extra funds until January.

  1. Beautiful I love copper I was born in copperhill Tennessee the town look like mars no trees anywhere because of them mining copper

  2. It’s simply beautiful!!! What great work that they do. I think it’s missing something that is very important though. I will keep this piece of art in mind and hope to purchase one.

  3. Hi all. Tomorrow I will make sure to post what numbered pieces have sold. I will say this, #01 is still out there. Pieces are given with sales randomly.

  4. Hello Everyone As of 10 pm CST on Oct. 2nd these are the numbers that have been sold out of 80. Notice #01 is still out there for sale. Numbers are randomly drawn to determine which sale gets which numbered piece. The lucky buyer of #17 will get a searcher coin with their sale. I have decided that #80 will also be a very special unique piece. I am not saying what yet but just know it will be different than all the rest making it very collectible. I am leaving for an art show in Kentucky but will update more after the weekend. Good luck to all.

  5. I just received my piece and I have to say that it is more beautiful in person then the picture shows. The copper has a luxurious shine that changes with every angle I view it from, not to mention that it matches the decor in my house.
I’m anxious to see what Dan does with the other clues as I intend to buy the entire collection. I wished I could attach a picture but it wouldn’t do it justice. Believe me when I tell you that it’s well worth the money for this beautiful piece of art.
