  1. Here’s a word unscrambler, for those taking that route. Note that it only returns words that can be made from the string entered, it does not unscramble the entire thing into possible phrases. So see if there’s a word or two you like in the listing, remove that, and repeat the process with the remainder.

    • my thoughts too. Spent a while on map but nothing connecting for me. Looks like more time to think with the storm coming..

    • Michael H, I think your spot on. I’ll step out on a limb and give directions. Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, TN. Take McCarter Hollow rd. a half mile, then turn left on McCarter rd. for 0.60 miles to a Y in road near Twin rocks drive, stay left and start looking for the double V tree on the left. IMO

      • Dollywood area could be, but there are homes along those particular roads too close to a likely hiding spot (per GE).

    • I’m with you Mike. I was thinking it was in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park near Pigeon Forge. I pulled out “tn” and “ten” from the highlighted letters thinking that hinted to Tennessee. There is a 1425 Old Knoxville Highway leading into Sevierville and Pigeon Forge. Pigeons are birds that fly low. There are also several dinner theater shows in addition to Dollywood in Pigeon Forge. Lots of good hiking and fly fishing in the park. Funny how SOME of the clues seem to fit so perfectly. I still haven’t figured out scrambled letters/ cipher and I could never quite make my area of interest fit with the map.

  2. oh boy! lets unscramble, cipher, code and, and…..

yaaaawn, wake me when its over.

    wheres AJ?

    • I’m not eligible to win, but that doesn’t mean I can’t share my thoughts! First, “fun town” might mean Maryville, TN since Maryville sounds like merry-ville. Second, putting my engineer hat on, I’m thinking “Why is it such a narrow, paved road with no striping on the edges or centerline?” The road might be a one-way road in a park, such as Cades Cove Loop Road in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which is above Maryville. If anyone is near Knoxville, TN or near the Smokies, they can check it out further. Even if this is not the actual road, I feel confident in my one-way-road-through-a-park idea.

  3. I can only be an armchair searcher, but Chattanooga seems like a good place. Low flying bird of both the avian and metal kind, lots of waters, oodles of hiking trails, and Point Park on Lookout Mountain. I noticed there are no “points” (periods) in the clue poem.

  4. 612 and 1425 could be elevations in meters of noteworthy places. Also note that 1425 is italicized and 612 is not, which might indicate that they represent two different types of things.

  5. The trees divided road seem significant. So does the moss divided stone. I keep thinking a rolling stone gathers no moss. Or Rock n roll. Maybe Nashville or Memphis?

    Or Standing Stone Highway?

But it seems though it must be on a mountain overlooking a fun town.

Pigeon Forge seems a good choice, with Dollywood close by, as someone mentioned. Pigeons are birds that fly low.

    • Both Nashville and especially Memphis are well off the provided hunt map, Iris. It’s in the mountains, and those two cities aren’t.

      Great music though.

  6. The FFGM Treasure Hunt #2 has been solved! More details coming soon…… It is so exciting! Thanks all for playing and joining in the adventures! The next one will be released in February right here on Dal’s site!

    • Whoa!! Faster than the last! Maybe have to step up my game. I was going to wait until this weekend to work on it. Can’t wait to see how difficult these get.
