The First Stanza…

The first stanza of the poem is:

As I have gone alone in there
And with my treasures bold,
I can keep my secret where,
And hint of riches new and old.

Is Forrest writing about the place he hid the chest?
Or perhaps the place where warm waters halt?
Or does this stanza hint of something else?
